Hey, there

Things are slowly moving along on the house. We meet a contractor this Saturday to discuss all the work we want done to it and get an estimate. We played around with the house in psp and changed it a bit. Bobby did the white and red (where it gets sloppy he was getting tired, lol). I added the ornate crap. We are thinking of changing it from this to this (the ornate stuff would be smaller, I just got lazy and didn't feel like shrinking it perfectly):

We have the chance to be in the historical society since the home was built in 1919, but we aren't sure we want to do that. There are so many rules (which I can understand and appreciate it). I am just not sure it is for us. We will see.

God, I am craving chinese food. That's all for now, folks. I want a paid account. Actually, I just want the icons that come with a paid account. *sigh*

I showed my aunt the two pictures and she said your creation fit the house nicely. I like it too. =]

If the two of you are getting an older house you seriously need to consult with Anna and myself as we've run into just about every possible problem that can come out of getting an older house. Ours was built in the 1940s (possibly older but tax records don't show it past the 40s) so we're experts on this stuff.

Main priorities: find out how old the roof is, last termite inspection, how old the heat pump is, how old the wiring is, how many amps your house is equipped to handle.

As we found out: if you hook up an appliance that requires more amps than your house can handle you will cause a fire and thousands of dollars of damage. Not to mention your insurance will double.

I love what you plan to do with that house! All the ornate additions are beautiful. It's very charming.
