| Topic: 10 Things I've Done You Probably Haven't |
So, I am having a few problems updating because I lack the exciting events to blog about. Or maybe I lack the words to write them. Who knows. So, I looked around the net and found a Wednesday meme to kick start my journal today.
1. Redone a historical home from a shredded mess into a home fitting for its historical marker
2. Had a haunted house built for my birthday party
3. Been a Junior Miss contestant
4. Won a Presidential award for my community service (mine was from Bill Clinton, and yes I do accept, understand and agree with those who say aww, I'm sorry, poor you (lol)
5. I was proposed to with a black pearl engagement ring rather than a diamond
6. Spoken to dead people and had them speak back (I'm a weirdo, I know);it was my great-grandmother. It started when I was 3 and lasted until I was about 5. When she told me she had passed, I was truly devastated that nobody told me she was dead.
7. I've been to London, England and Paris, France. I've seen Monet's gardens and home, the Eiffel Tower, Versailles, London Bridge, Big Ben, etc. I saw the Mona Lisa surrounded by a sea of Asian tourists. I had to literally jump to see her properly. I wasn't so impressed with her. But I did see a wax figure concert of the Beatles. I didn't throw my panties. It was cool but creepy.
8. I spoke on the phone with Joey McIntyre and En Vogue. Not at the same time. That would have been weirder. Joey was drunk, snotty and annoying. He really should call me again and try again. SWV was FABULOUS! Even better, they thought I was FAB, too! Or that maybe my ego talking. I met Sister Hazel. I love them.
9. I turned down hanging out with Prince to co-host a birthday bash (for me)/Halloween bash at another club. I swear I ad more fun than anyone at the Prince bash. Trust me, I have sworn affidavits on that.
10. I have seen first hand the emotional destruction of Mother Nature. My parents lost their home to Hurricane Katrina. Many of our family mementos were lost in the flood. That's enough on that. It makes me want to cry just remembering it.
Let me not forget the best. I've had the honor of being the wife to Bobby, the mother to Aidan, best friend to Kara, Amanda, Chris, Elizabeth, Insha, Maegan, member of a great family, aunt to Janice, Cori, Christopher, Christian, Mason, Taylor, and Ibby.
